Wing It You Will Have a Better Time
I remember when I first visited Las Vegas it was my honeymoon and we had somewhat of an agenda that my wife had booked us. Seeing the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead was very nice and a few shows that we went to were great, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons put on a great show. We gambled and of course lost our ass but it was our honeymoon. The next time if they're was gonna be a next time we went to sin city I said no agenda, let's wing it! Well the short version of this story was it was the best time of my life. You will never find a clock in Vegas, and to tell you the truth I was'nt looking for one. A midget convention was in Vegas that weekend and I had to find out what the little people were up to so I joined in and am 6'2 300lbs. They accepted me into their group of fun and to this day I still tell stories about hanging with the funnest people in Las Vegas. The moral to the story is to have no certain plans, start later in the day, take a drive around old Vegas and Fremont Street and maybe head to Henderson to see Sam's Town a local casino that is pretty famous. When I got off the plane I noticed slot machines right at the airport, I was in heaven! Vegas has everything you need and want, it's the Walt Disney World for adults. How many times have you said to yourself you can't afford the trip? You can if you do some searching, you want the cheapest hotel rooms in Las Vegas, why? Because you won't be in them much! You can stay on the strip for under 50.00 a nite, not on the weekends but they are still pretty cheap. There is no better place to have fun, and leave the kids at home. I hear people say there is a lot to do now for kiddies, that's hogwash! It will ruin your vacation plain and simple. Remember to get a cheap Las Vegas hotel room close to or on the strip. It will make or break your stay. I would take a look at the future Las Vegas shows and events that will be there the days you are going but the lounge shows are FREE and just as good. If you like spicy food the Luxor Hotel offers a mexical buffet all hours of the day. The MGM has a excellent breakfast buffet but I would'nt eat there later in the day. Gran a slice of pizza at Treasure Island, they have the best bars on the strip. The moral of this story is to NOT have a agenda when you get to vegas, it's more fun if you wing it!
